A pair of bickering rock stars, handcuffed to each other by a mischievous preacher at a music festival, come to think differently about one another after spending 24 hours together, in Mackenzie’s diverting, but hopelessly predictable, rom-com. The film has a certain rough’n’ready charm, which manages to alleviate, for its first three quarters at least, any qualms one might have about its somewhat trite boy-meets-girl plot, but the decidedly cheesy ending, which will have even the most soft-hearted of rom-com lovers cringing with embarrassment, manages to just about ruin all that came before.
