Whilst the wind blows and the waves crash, farmers and fishermen from a small island community attempt to go about their daily routines – despite the fact that the volcano around which they’ve made their homes is on the verge of eruption, in this dynamic, transporting docupoem. Simple framing, lyrical editing, ethereal lighting, and ironically soothing sound design combine to generally quite beautiful effect.
