Two
vaguely unhappy daily rail users (David Morrissey & Sheridan Smith, both
top-notch) meet on the morning commute and quickly (after an inauspicious
start) form a warm friendship. And despite both loving their respective
partners (the unsurprisingly excellent Olivia Colman & the rather miscast Sean
Maguire), and professing a reluctance to do so, they soon find themselves
beginning a passionate affair. Predictably, as things progress, hearts are
broken and lives are ruined, in this generally engrossing if ultimately rather familiar romantic
drama.
