Having finally gone completely round the bend, Hitler, Goering, Goebbels, and chums have lots of incestuous sex, make and discuss some (literally in one case) shit art, shout and scream rather a lot, and eventually begin topping themselves, in Schlingensief’s provocatively knockabout imagining of the final hour of the residents of the Führerbunker at the end of the Second World War. Anarchic and artless, the film often looks like it was more fun to make than it is to actually watch, but remains, never the less, strangely captivating throughout.
