An increasingly lonely 45-year-old widowed vineyard owner (Béatrice Romand) finds her love life being meddled with by both her best friend (Marie Rivière) and her son’s girlfriend (Alexia Portal), who look to set her up with two markedly different men (Alain Libolt & Didier Sandre), in Rohmer’s oft sublime though never entirely convincing relationship drama. The pacing, photography, and dialogue are all rather seductive, but some of the characterisations feel a little off. Charming, never the less.
