In McCabe’s skilfully assembled if only mildly diverting short film, a young woman awakens in a psychedelic laboratory to discover that she is a green, roller-skating monster created by a mad scientist à la Frankenstein. Some of the film’s imagery is striking, but the piece as a whole never really comes to life.
