A 40-year-old animator takes a break from his usual solitary life when he invites a bi-curious New Yorker, whom he met on a rotating video chat website, to spend the weekend with him. Though the prospect of sex is ever present, it isn’t until they introduce a third party into the mix that they take their spontaneous relationship to the bedroom. However, his lone wolf nature soon rears its ugly head again, in Swanberg’s gentle, vaguely romantic slice-of-life drama. Naturalistic performances, unobtrusive direction, and discreetly insightful writing combine to quietly moving effect.
